Doctor, I'm considered petite but I have these gigantic breasts, and I hate granny looking bras. I've tried Lane Bryant, but their band sizes don't start until size 40, and have a couple from Victoria's Secret, but is there any other store that carries size 36 DD's? I know Aerie carries them but you have to order them online. Has anyone had any luck with bras from Aerie's? I don't want to waste money on shipping costs if I'm going to have to send them straight back.

Ok, here's my advice:

You must do whatever it takes to wear a supportive bra! The bras may look a little "granny-like", but it is better than your breast looking like a "sagging grandmother"...

Here is what to look for in a bra:

A supportive cup that pushes your breast up giving you even more cleavage. That means shoulder straps that do not stretch on either side of the adjustable strap buckle. VERY frequently the shoulder strap will be supportive over-the-shoulder and in front, but NOT behind the buckle.

It might be hard to find a supportive and cute bra, but it is critical that you do so. The reduction or lift surgery (mastopexy) is a horrible scar-producing surgery that you may need someday, but with excellent support you may be able to put that surgery off a long time. Bra-less ONLY when you sleep. Consider wearing a shower bra to give youself support during that time if you really are "gigantic".

You might feel they are a curse, but to many they would be a blessing. Take good care to them :)

Best wishes!
